Tonight is the National Zomba Night

I really hope the Filipino movie-goers will get the hang of watching movies that have meat — and I say it with all puns intended. Movies that do not suppress its audience’s thinking skills. These are movies that liberate and usually, they’re very hard to sell because as Filipinos are children of the school of melodramatic mentality we would look for elements only Star Cinema can give: cheesiness and mushiness. We love it when our brains stay idle.

Tonight, I have been invited to watch the premiere screening of Zombadings 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington. (For title explanation, please see poster below. It’s much more complicated than you think). The screening will be at SM City Iloilo and I am excited, excited, excited. I have been reading the rave previews of this film. I will write a full review tomorrow.

Regular runs of Zombadings will start on August 31, so don’t miss it. Or if you’re not convinced enough, wait til I publish my own review.
