Pangodak #2: Bimboy Samson

Oct 10, 2011 by

As a photography enthusiast, Bimboy Samson takes advantage of the “visual buffet” Iloilo City has to offer with its local festivals. This city, being known to the country as the festival capital of the Philippines, is home to the world-famous Dinagyang and Paraw Regatta. Bimboy captures these images to immortalize the upbeat spirit of the celebrations.

Dinagyang is literally to revel or party. Here in Iloilo, this is how we do it.

The magnificent contrasting colors of Paraws (Sails) is too hard to resist for a trigger-happy soul.

Bimboy is a photography enthusiast who “pulls a trigger” when he sees an image worth capturing. He got hooked in this hobby only since January of this year. He has had basic photography lessons from 1-2-3 Of Photography class of Soccoro Martinez, Dr. Israel Gonzales and Jun Rojas.

*We are dedicating the entire week featuring Ilonggo photographers or photographsof Iloilo. For interested photography professionals, amateurs, enthusiasts, please send me two of your BEST WORK as a lensman. Provide us with a title/ brief description of your work and a one-liner intro for you. Send your works through my email: rl.rodriguezph@gmail.com
