There are just so many interesting things and people to see when you stroll downtown Iloilo during Dinagyang.

I know what's in your mind now, who the hell would buy laundry clips during Dinagyang?? But who cares.

This man is selling a "miracle oil" that you can apply on your body like a lotion and is said to cure various skin problems. In the pic he's boiling several bark of assorted trees and shrubs.

They're playing chess. Obviously. And I don't know why. All I know is that the "Chess master" can earn a lot from the bets.

Crowd is cheering on the background while these 3 dance like it's the end of the world. Tip: Put on an ear plug when you pass by this mountain of speakers.

An isolation cage where unruly drunkards shall be detained till they sober up. Hah!

Street pancakes with margarine and sugar. Perhaps a childhood fave of most Ilonggos before fancy pancakes topped with blueberry syrup became popular locally.

This peddlers' kid must have been too sleepy as her parents sell sunglasses in the streets day in and day out.

Bling bling necklaces are soaked in Calamansi (Calamondin Lemon) just to guarantee they don't fade in acid (?).

These insects we loathe or fear are for sale in the streets of Iznart. Amazing. Things are getting better and better, ain't it?

  1. I bought a centipede and a spider. ;p
