How My Saturday Went

Mar 18, 2012 by

While waiting for my iPhone to finish upgrading to OS 5.1 (and mind you I can write 20 blogs til the whole update completes itself), I would like to share how my Saturday went. It was not earth-shaking but it’s worth enumerating just for the sake of sharing.

1. I woke up at 4.30 AM to witness the JCI Regatta Triathlon and observe how they conduct the event. I was going to get some tips on the way their host would carry the event in preparation for the Guimaras Manggahan Triathlon this coming April. Unfortunately, the JCI Regatta Triathlon had very few racers (both on relay and individual categories). And there was really no real-time program, so to speak. So I was there as a mere hobnob who chitchatted the hours away. I am also saddened to hear about the accident that happened to Rocky Go (a member of the Ironman team Iloilo). He was on his bike in the solo category after his swim when he slammed into a marshal’s bike along the way. I hope for Rocky’s speedy recovery.

The fun-runners waiting for the starting fire. It was kinda quiet for a race.

2. After lunch, I headed for Robinsons Place Iloilo for the Grand Launch of SIKAT ACADEMY 4-in-1 SUMMER WORKSHOP (Season 4). As we are considered the biggest, brightest and best summer workshop in Western Visayas, we had to drum it up in a grand scale because we have added two new aspects of the workshop: The Sikat Junior Playshop and the Sikat Junior Chef. For the grand launch, we had a child celebrity (Star Circle Quest champion) and an ABS-CBN talent, Nash Aguas. Our workshop has very limited slots and as of this writing, three sections have already been filled. So don’t delay your registration because you might just regret being closed down on slots.

3. When evening came, I met up with my HB friends from UP. We had such a wonderful time over dinner and capped the night with a Whitney Houston tribute at the Rooftop Brewery. Most of the people who were at Brewery were friends and acquaintances, that’s why that place is such a place to be for people who want to get the best coooooooold beers of the world, plus great music from Station 33 Deejays, plus a fabulous crowd to complete your Saturday stress-free night.

Then this morning when I woke up, someone emailed me a photo he took of his bed. What’s bizarre about the photo is that on the bed were four intertwining legs of people. It sent all the remaining alcohol in my body to oblivion. Can you figure this one out for me?

I can't make anything of it. Help.

How did you spend your weekend?
